Murakami was the tour de force behind this vibrant recreation of the traditional Louis Vuitton handbag. In addition, he crafted the coveted Cherry Blossom pattern, in which yellow and pink flowers containing smiling cartoon faces are intermittently positioned atop a uni-colored LV monogram print. This was definitely LV Luxury handbag gone wild, with a rather girly option of gold on pink monogram with pink smiling flowers. Even more stunning is the traditionally colored bag (gold and brown) with smiling pink flowers on it. this pattern and color combination made the public gaga, and has been produced as scarves, ipod covers, umbrellas, wallpaper and even as a skin for a rifle handle! However, this design was produced in a limited number of Louis Vuitton bags, and discontinued just a few months later, much to the public’s shagrin. But the “more mature” collection is still alive and kicking, even though the LV monogram multicolore was supposed to be a limited addition line, also.
