5 Tips For How to Spot a Fake Handbag For Real

1. Know the Original

If there was only one tip, this would be it. The easiest way is to visit the website, or if you’re in a major city and don’t mind a field trip…go on in to the boutique. Just don’t wear your moo-moo or your jogging pants in the Louis Vuitton handbags store or you’re liable to catch a questioning eyes! (Ok. I admit it. I’ve done this.)

2. Know the Vendor

Let’s be honest. Most people read these How To lists so they can either buy what they are being told is a real bag off of Ebay, or because they want to buy fake, they just don’t want to buy a bad one. Either way, know the vendor is the second best advice you could have. If it’s a replica you want read the testimonials and comments, call them up, shop with who you trust, ask other people. If you are buying real off the internet note that only a handful of select boutiques actually carry real designer handbags (Eluxury etc). If it’s second hand, you gotta read the background on the seller, designer replica handbags, and if there is none…surf away baby.

3. Know The Material

Here’s where all poor replica handbag manufacturers skimp. The worst ones are practically made of cardboard, while some just have the wrong material out of ignorance. Many go for cheaper, less durable, less attractive leathers. First make sure you know what it’s supposed to be, then compare. This is the single most common difference between real and fake.

4. Spot the Silly Claims

The worst replica often have the most impressive claims. Anything “better than the original” is, well,Hermes Belts, not. Remember things like the fact that real Coach Handbags are made in China, and real Louis Vuitton handbags often are made of canvas. If a Coach bag is made in the USA, or a LV monogram is 100% leather, be aware.

5. Know The Logo

Seems obvious sure, but knowing the logo is the most overlooked way of how to spot a fake purse. Gucci, Chanel and Coach all have very similar logos. A bad fake favorite is when they mix them up. Louis Vuitton though takes the cake. More mistakes are made on these fakes than any other.
